Whether an avid craft beer drinker, an occasional slurper, or someone dragged to bars by their friends, craft beer drinking is often a mission. That mission could be discovering a new taste, remembering the consistency of an old favorite, or quieting a friend who won’t stop demanding you try their favorite beer.
Our experiences in craft beer are all different, despite our knowledge, level of obsession and particular tastes. There is no superior opinion on taste, no matter what any bartender, brewer or hipster tells you.
The craft beer industry exists on the fascination with and the difference of opinion of beer; filled with brewers experimenting with new approaches on old styles of beers, and beer lovers regularly checking their liquor, grocery or specialty stores for those brews.
Quantifying the slew of ways drinkers respond to beer is why Liquid Bread exists. Too often, craft beer is simplified into pop trends, haughty opinions and must-try lists. Our goal is a sophisticated look at the craft beer scene that does not marginalize or isolate drinkers, but inform and empower them.
From the nuances of dissecting differing palates, breaking down new beers, picking apart styles and opining on the muse of beer itself, we will curate discussions on craft beer as a hobby, passion, interest, career, meal accompaniment, and point of disagreement.
Beer drinkers need an alternative source for reviews and analysis’ of the craft beer community. San Francisco is our playground for beer, but our scope is the entire international craft beer scene.
We hope you will enjoy our work as much as you do kicking back and drinking your favorite glass of liquid bread.
