The devastation and impact of the fires in Napa and Sonoma Counties has hit the entire Bay Area hard and is on course to be one of the worst disasters in California’s history. Though so much damage has been done (and continues), Bay Area citizens and organizations have mobilized to support those displaced, hurt and in need of help during this awful disaster.
We first recommend to those looking to contribute from afar that you visit the websites of some of the relief organizations in the area, such as the Sonoma County Resilience Fund, the Napa Valley Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. GoFundMe has also created a California fire relief feed that can help you directly support those in need.
The mobilizing of local Bay Area businesses donating proceeds from their sales, fundraisers and relief-related events has also increased, and contributing to this movement are Bay Area breweries.
This list is in no ways comprehensive, but we wanted to highlight some local breweries you can visit that have pledged to donate a certain amount to the fire relief efforts in the North Bay. We recommend following your local favorite breweries on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the latest updates in who is contributing to the fire relief efforts.
